A chiropractor is a fully trained medical professional who manually treats diseases of the muscles and joints. In fact, the ‘hands on’ element is the most important aspect of this treatment as manipulation is considered a very successful technique.
Manipulation is used to treat soft tissue injuries as well as those of the joints. It is used to treat spinal problems, e.g. slipped disc, muscle spasms and sprained ligaments.
We only use highly qualified and experienced chiropractors who are registered with the British Chiropractic Association. They focus on patient care and safety and review their techniques on a regular basis.
What is chiropractic?
This is a form of treatment which goes back thousands of years. It is based upon the use of the hands to manipulate the joints or muscles of the body in order to relieve pain and restore normal function to that area.
Massage and stretching is also used although this performed on the soft tissues of the body.
This is commonly used to treat pain in the back or neck or tension headaches. But it is also used to treat pain in any joint within the body.
You will undergo one or more sessions and may be asked to carry out a series of exercises, e.g. stretches at home.
